Brittany’s Story

Brittany Winkfield, a Denver native, is a seasoned communications professional with over 20 years of experience. Currently, she serves as the director of the Colorado Ethnic Media Exchange. Her passion for media began early, with parental influence in radio and internships during high school at local publications. Brittany's educational background includes a communications degree with a journalism focus from Oakwood University, further enriched by internships at prestigious magazines like VIBE and Upscale.

Recognized as journalist of the year in 2013, Brittany extends her dedication to the community through various organizations like the NAACP and the Urban Leadership Foundation. Beyond her media career, Brittany founded Back2Basics, a non-profit empowering youth with life skills and entrepreneurial knowledge. In her personal life, Brittany enjoys traveling with her husband and three daughters.
